The Sober Driver Program includes 18 hours of group work plus two hours of take home tasks, totalling 20 hours.

Programs are regularly scheduled on weekends or weekday evenings.
The majority of Sober Driver Programs average between 6 and 12 participants, with a maximum of 16 participants per group. In small and remote locations, groups are permitted to run with a minimum of 4 participants.
Only facilitators who have completed comprehensive training in group work skills and who have attended a program specific workshop may deliver the Sober Driver Program. Facilitators deliver the program in pairs in order to ensure quality and maintain engagement of the participants.
The program includes topics to help participants understand the effects of drink driving on their self and others to build skills and strategies to avoid re-offending in the future.
